The “Black Swan” film centered around Nina (Natalie Portman). She’s a very focused Ballet dancer who really desires to do her best performances everytime. Director Thomas Leroy is interested in starting a new version of the swan show,but needs a dancer who is able to play both the white and black swan characters. He thinks Nina would make the perfect white swan,but is having trouble seeing her as the black swan because she is having difficulty letting go and relaxing.

However, Thomas eventually picks her for the role,thinking she has the potential to pull off the role. Character Lilly (Mila Kunis) is the opposite of Nina,and has no problems playing the black swan character. Lilly tries to become friends with Nina throughout the movie,but only causes Nina to become distracted This leads Lilly to become an alternate for Nina in the show.

Weird dream scenarios were very prevalent throughout the movie,so much in fact, that it became hard to tell the difference between the reality of the film and her dreams. She was always appeared to be dreaming about something. In fact, the movie started out with her dreaming about something.

A couple of the dream sequences included her literally turning into a swan with her legs buckling,her stabbing and murdering Lilly,banging the door on her mother’s hand,a lesbian sex scene between her and Lilly,and more.

Black Swan also featured some very sexual type scenes,but never showed any nudity. The movie concluded with a very weird conclusion that made me wonder if it was real,or just another one of her dream sequences. So, I’m still not quite sure if what I watched is actually what happened,or if she just dreamed it up. It was quite odd.

Even though the movie was very weird,it was also very entertaining,and captured my attention throughout the entire two hours. I decided to give it a B+ grade.
